Taking the Fosse Way – Fosseway Garden Centre Rebrand

Fosseway Garden Centre, an independent family-owned business, first opened its doors back in 1990 when Tim and Gill Godwin bought a farm on the edge of the idyllic village of Moreton in Marsh. The following year they recognised the need to diversify and built the first tunnel, bought in some bedding plants and sold them over the course of the weekend. This was the very beginning of Fosseway Farm Nursery.

For the first couple of years the nursery was only open at weekends, allowing Tim to continue farming and Gill to work full time away from the farm. This gradually increased and in 1997 the whole venture became a serious business, open 7 days a week. With further investment and expansion over the last 20 years, Fosseway Garden Centre now employs over 40 staff and has an enviable collection of plants, machinery, florist and restaurant.

In 2017, Fosseway Garden Centre approached Spring Marketing with a view to updating their branding and drive awareness of their consumer reward card scheme. The local consumers are discerning and keen gardeners who are clear about what they like. They are looking for inspiration and ideas and we used this insight as the basis for the redesign of the marketing communications.

 

With further investment and expansion over the last 20 years, Fosseway Garden Centre now employs over 40 staff and has an enviable collection of plants, machinery, florist and restaurant.
