Driving interest and events with the Fosseway new website

Challenge
Fosseway Garden Centre wanted to update their website in line with their new brand image as it was tired and dated with a focus on what they do rather than what the consumer wants. In addition, they felt that they would like to use the website as an opportunity to grow events participation.

Insight
The majority of the website wasn’t selling online so it was important to provide useful and relevant information not just a list of products sold. Events could be purchased online on the current site but they were hidden within the sitemap and not always easy to find.

Approach
We went back to basics and reviewed the performance of the current site, assessed the user experience (UX) before writing the sitemap. Content was also reviewed and completely rewritten with a lifestyle, helpful feel and included ‘how to’ guides and videos as well as inspiration and ideas for all areas of the garden and home.

Results
Since the new website has launched, website traffic has increased by 81%, time spent on the site has increased by 28.1% and event bookings increased.

What the client said:
“Having moved to Spring Marketing recently, it soon became clear our website needed updating. After one meeting to discuss our expectations and needs, within a couple of months we were up and running with very little hassle and are now very pleased with the results.”
